About BullsMUN

BullsMUN is a high school Model United Nations conference hosted by the University of South Florida’s Model United Nations program in Tampa, Florida. At its core, BullsMUN is an opportunity for students to step into the roles of diplomats, policymakers, and decision-makers and experience the challenges of international affairs firsthand.

Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations and other real-world institutions. Students represent countries, organizations, or individual figures and work with their peers to address complex problems through debate, negotiation, policymaking, and diplomacy. Rather than simply discussing issues, delegates are challenged to develop solutions, defend their positions, collaborate with others to build coalitions (commonly referred to as blocs), and respond to the actions of others.

BullsMUN brings this experience to life through a diverse selection of General Assembly, Specialized/Hybrid, and Crisis committees. While our committees span different topics, time periods, and settings, they share a common goal: creating an engaging environment where delegates are encouraged to think critically, communicate effectively, and take an active role in shaping the outcome of their committee.

We believe Model UN is about much more than winning awards. BullsMUN provides students with an opportunity to develop skills that extend far beyond the conference room. Delegates practice public speaking and persuasive communication, learn how to negotiate with people who may hold opposing viewpoints, develop solutions to complicated problems, and gain confidence in advocating for their ideas. Just as importantly, they learn how to listen, collaborate, adapt, and work toward meaningful outcomes with others.

Whether a student is stepping into Model UN for the first time or is an experienced competitor, BullsMUN is designed to provide a challenging and rewarding experience. Our optional committee workshops help newer delegates build a foundation in Model UN procedure and strategy, while our dynamic committees give experienced delegates the opportunity to further refine their skills.

Since its founding, BullsMUN has continued to grow with the support of students, advisors, and Model UN programs from across Florida. After three successful conferences and more than 500 students in attendance, BullsMUN IV continues our commitment to creating a conference that is competitive, innovative, and most importantly, an enriching experience for every delegate.

At BullsMUN, we hope students leave the conference with more than an award. We want them to leave with greater confidence, stronger communication skills, new perspectives, and the knowledge that their ideas have the power to make a difference.

Go Bulls!!!
