Janessa Wright
Secretary-general
Hello, delegates!
Janessa is a senior at the University of South Florida, pursuing dual degrees in Finance, with a concentration in FinTech, and Risk Management & Insurance. Janessa has been involved in Model UN since high school, attending and leading numerous collegiate conferences, including every iteration of BullsMUN to date.
What started as a simple Model UN course, became a long-term passion for service leadership and creating opportunities for others to find their voice. At this point, she has done it all. She is returning as Secretary-General for BullsMUN for the second time, and also serves as President of the USF Model UN team. Throughout her time with USF Model UN, she has served in various leadership roles, including Vice President, Head Delegate for the USF travel team, and stepping in as USG of Crisis for this iteration of BullsMUN. She has also lead the competitive team to its most award-winning performance at a Top 4 collegiate conference and has helped the USF team maintain its status as a Top 50 Model UN Collegiate Team in North America (Best Delegate).
With her final semester at USF underway, BullsMUN IV represents much more than another conference; it is a culmination of several years of growth, dedication, many challenges, and COUNTLESS hours of work behind the scenes (seriously, she has lost count of how many hours she has dedicated to Model UN). After literal blood, sweat, tears, and late nights, Janessa is beyond excited to see everything come together and create an amazing experience that delegates, staff, and advisors will remember long after the final gavel falls. While this chapter of her undergraduate journey is coming to a close, she hopes to leave behind a legacy of collaboration, ambition, and a community that continues to inspire and empower younger generations of Model UN participants.
Outside of MUN, Janessa enjoys dancing bachata, salsa, and merengue with USF Latin Dance Club, choreographing ballet, hip hop, and contemporary pieces with the USF Dance Club, singing, going to the beach, and cooking for her friends and family. She is deeply honored to serve as President and Secretary-General during this milestone year and cannot wait to welcome everyone to BullsMUN IV for a memorable conference!
Max Merchant
Director-general
Max Merchant is a third-year Economics and Political Science student at the University of South Florida. He is currently the club’s Vice President and frequent delegate! Joining the club spring 2025, he has competed on behalf of USF in conferences nationwide. Planning to attend law school, Model United Nations has given him insight into a variety of fields
legal professionals can pursue.
For BullsMUN IV, Max will serve as your Director General. After acting as last year’s Undersecretary General of Logistics, he is excited to take on a larger role and continue to grow BullsMUN into the conference it is meant to be. With experience in competing, chairing, and helping executively, he is confident this will be the best BullsMUN iteration yet.
Outside of MUN, Max is the Regional Organizer for a Climate Advocacy group, working with local leaders and elected officials to ensure Florida’s environment remains protected. He additionally enjoys skiing, exercise, reading, writing, and American Football. He is honored to act as this year’s Director General, and ready to see all of the adventures BullsMUN delegates will undertake!”
MARYSA BATTING
UNDERSECRETARY-GENERAL OF GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Marysa Batting is a fourth-year at the University of South Florida, double-majoring in Psychology and Political Science, with a minor in International Studies. Marysa has been an active member of the USF MUN chapter since Fall 2024, but her MUN experience dates back to her middle school years, which sparked her life-long interest in conflict resolution and global politics. Marysa firmly believes that MUN is a great way to learn about the methods through which conflict is resolved around the world, and stresses the importance for young professionals to have such a relevant and applicable learning opportunity.
At BullsMUN IV, Marysa will be serving as your Undersecretary General of General Assembly, a position she holds outside of the event as well. She also has experience staffing USF’s BULLSMUN II and III and participating in prestigious conferences like UPMUNC, CHOMUN, and BARMUN. This is her second time serving as a Secretariat member for BULLSMUN, and will work to make a fun and competitive environment for delegates.
Besides MUN, Marysa also enjoys writing poetry and reading, with specific interest in classical fiction. Marysa also takes a specific interest in global politics, researching and thinking about how conflict, even on the local level, shapes our world. Marysa is super excited to facilitate debate in both her roles, and is ecstatic to see how delegates take on the challenges presented to them in BullsMUN IV!
Jayna Marshall
UNDERSECRETARY-GENERAL OF Logistics/operations
Jayna Marshall is a senior student at the University of South Florida, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Criminology. Jayna began her Model UN journey with the University of South Florida in Spring 2026, and has been a member of the team since then. Her favorite part about Model UN is the opportunity to travel and meet people with different backgrounds.
Jayna will be your Undersecretary General of Logistics/Operations at BullsMUN IV, and also the Crisis Director for Mortal Kombat: War of the Two Souls committee. She hopes that delegates will learn how to strategize and collaborate with others as well as advancing their characters' personal agendas. She also hopes that every delegation enjoys BullsMUN and learns something new about themselves.
Aside from Model UN, Jayna loves discussing all things music and Michael Jackson, learning her saxophone and bass guitar, and volunteering for local gun violence and human trafficking non-profits. She hopes to one day serve as the Secretary of Defense. She is excited to see delegates make memories with their friends and have fun in their committees!
Jaamon Carson
UNDERSECRETARY-GENERAL OF Logistics/operations
Jaamon Carson is a senior student at the University of South Florida, majoring in Business Analytics & Information Systems. Jaamon began participating in Model UN with St. Petersburg College in Spring 2025, and has been a member of USF’s MUN team since Fall 2025. His favorite part about Model UN is connecting with others, traveling to new places, and learning about the different perspectives of pressing topics.
At BullsMUN IV, Jaamon will be serving as your Undersecretary General of Logistics/Operations, as well as the Crisis Director for The Vibranium Cold War: Wakandan Royal Council committee. He wishes that the delegates will be able to learn about volatile international relations while also having fun. Jaamon also holds the Fundraising Coordinator and Graphic Media Coordinator positions for the USFMUN team. He hopes that every delegation enjoys BullsMUN enough to tell their friends and come back for more next year.
Aside from Model UN, Jaamon is all for sci-fi and football, learning his electric guitar, and volunteering for local campaigns. One of his biggest goals is to create a program that provides underrepresented students with access to academic and life skills, professional networking, and opportunities they may not otherwise have access to. He is ecstatic to see what his delegates have in store for his committee!
